Following the Marigold Summer Destiny event, IYO SKY has returned to compete in Japan for the first time in six years.
As previously reported, former WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY revealed that she would return to Japan to compete against Utami Hayashishita on the Marigold Summer Destiny event.
The bout marked the first back in Japan for the former Io Shirai since she left STARDOM in 2018.
At Marigold Summer Destiny, IYO SKY defeated Utami Hayashishita in a Queen of Queen match.
SKY entered the match to her WWE theme music and wore a mask similar to the one she used during her run in STARDOM.
The finish to this semi main event bout saw IYO hit a tombstone piledriver and her Over The Moonsault finisher to defeat Hayashishita. After the match, SKY thanked Utami, WWE and Marigold for this special match.
