An update has emerged on the current WWE contract statuses of Bobby Lashley and MVP amid uncertainty about their wrestling futures.
Following reports that Bobby Lashley’s WWE contract is up soon, it’s been indicated that Lashley and MVP are on their way out of WWE, and plan to reunite their Hurt Business faction in AEW with Shelton Benjamin.
With there being a lot of speculation about Lashley and MVP’s potential departures, a new update has revealed their current statuses.
Per Mike Johnson of PWInsider, MVP’s WWE contract is set to expire in mid-August. It was noted that there haven’t been any “major discussions” about a new deal.
According the the report, there had been some talk about WWE potentially using MVP as a producer or announcer, which hasn’t happened yet, however there were reportedly tryouts for these roles.
The report also provided an update on Bobby Lashley, with there reportedly being a WWE contract offer made, but not one that would make him “jump to sign” per one source, who told PWInsider that Lashley had strongly considered seeing what he’d be worth outside WWE.
Lashley hasn’t wrestled since the May 5 WWE house show, and hasn’t competed on TV since facing LA Knight and Santos Escobar in a three-way match on April 12.
We will continue to provide updates on Bobby Lashley and MVP as they become available.
