WWE star reflects on recent run ahead of potential departure

With his current WWE deal expiring in mid-August, MVP has reflected on his current run with the company, declaring ‘What a ride!”

As recently reported, MVP’s contract is due to expire shortly with it also being noted that there haven’t been an “major discussions” about a new deal.
It was further noted that there been some talk about WWE using MVP in a producer or announcer capacity, however there were reportedly tryouts for such a role.

MVP has now shared his thoughts on his Instagram, posting:

MVP returned to WWE at the 2020 Royal Rumble and revealed the importance of that moment for him as a father in a WWE Exclusive that can be seen below this news story.
His previous run with WWE ended in December 2010 when he was released from his contract.
In between runs, MVP performed for New Japan Pro-Wrestling, TNA Wrestling and on the independent wrestling circuit.

In NJPW he would be the inaugural IWGP Intercontinental Champion, winning the belt in May 2011.
In WWE, MVP is a two-time United States Champion and a former Tag Team Champion with Matt Hardy.
It was recently reported that MVP and Bobby Lashley may be heading to AEW after their contracts expire which could see a Hurt Business reunion with Shelton Benjamin.
