WWE has shared footage from an unseen John Cena match from his previous run with the company in 2023.

During the SAG-AFTRA Hollywood strike, John Cena switched his focus from screen acting back to pro-wrestling.
The 16-time world champion appeared for WWE on an almost full-time basis in September and October, ahead of losing to Solo Sikoa at Crown Jewel in November 2023.

WWE’s Vault YouTube channel has now shared a highlight video from a dark match following the September 29, 2023 edition of SmackDown, featuring John Cena and Dominik Mysterio.
In the video clip, then-NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio confronted Cena, and faced off against him in a non-title match.

While this match was seven minutes long, WWE has shared just a minute of highlights, which you can watch below.
John Cena has made several WWE appearances this year, siding with Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 40, then teaming with The Miz and R-Truth on the following night’s Raw episode.
Cena announced at Money in the Bank that he will begin his WWE retirement tour in 2025, and wrestle his last WWE match before the end of next year.
