A departed WWE star has stated his belief that a former stablemate of his recently signed a new contract with the company.

In early August former United States Champion MVP departed WWE at the end of his contract, ending his second stint in the company after four years.
His exit was later followed by that of his former partner Bobby Lashley, who also exited the company just weeks later.
When reports first broke regarding Lashley and MVP’s expected WWE exit, it was stated that the pair planned to re-form The Hurt Business along with former stablemate Shelton Benjamin – who himself has been a free agent since his WWE release in September 2023.

That left Cedric Alexander as the only ex-Hurt Business member remaining in WWE, with fans naturally having questions regarding his own contractual status.
While there has been no reporting of such, MVP stated during a virtual signing for K&S WrestleFest that he “thinks” Alexander recently signed a new deal with the company.

MVP said:
“I think Cedric (Alexander) recently signed a new deal.”

No further details were given by MVP in regards to when he believes this happened, and as of yet there has been no reports on the matter in attempt to confirm this did indeed happen.
Alexander has most recently been competing on WWE NXT alongside Ashante Thee Adonis, competing in his last TV match on August 30 – defeating Brooks Jensen.
JJA Sport Studio will provide further updates on Alexander’s contract as/when they become available.
