A WWE gimmick match is set to return for the first time since 2017, following comments from SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis.

On last night’s USA Network premiere episode of SmackDown, a brief match took place between Michin and Piper Niven, with Michin picking up the win in just over two minutes.
Following this however, Niven’s tag team partner Chelsea Green would make her presence felt – delivering an Unprettier on Michin on top of a trash can.
On the SmackDown LowDown Green was being interviewed by Byron Saxton before she was interrupted by Vickie Guerrero, who was among many special guests on the show in Seattle.

As seen in the footage below, Guerrero suggested that Green face Michin in a Dumpster Match, due to her expertise with the trash can on SmackDown.
Despite Green being offended by Guerrero’s pitch it was something SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis was all in favor of, interjecting to say that he “liked” the idea.
An official date for the match was not announced, but we will provide further updates when this information becomes available.

In reaction to the news, Michin took to Twitter to thank Guerrero for the suggestion, writing:

The last Dumpster Match on WWE TV took place on the April 24, 2017 edition of Raw between Braun Strowman and Kalisto.
