A reported recently emerged that Hikuleo had been added to the WWE internal roster amid speculation of a debut.
In July 2024, it was confirmed that the NJPW Strong Tag Team Champion had signed with WWE.
His signing would have presumably brought another member of the Bloodline into WWE alongside his brothers Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa.
However, it was recently reported that Hikuleo had instead been added to the WWE NXT internal roster with it being expected that he would spend time on that brand.
Dave Meltzer has clarified the plans for Hikuleo on Wrestling Observer Radio, stating:
“He (Hikuleo) is going to NXT first, that is confirmed.”
At the time of writing, there is no confirmation as to when Hikuleo will make his WWE NXT debut.
In early 2023, WWE, Hikuleo and Tama Tonga were in talks to bring the NJPW stars to the company.
That round of talks fell through with Tonga going on to make his WWE debut in April 2024 on SmackDown, with he and his brother Tonga Loa foregoing NXT for an immediate move to the main roster.
