An update has emerged on potential WWE plans for GUNTHER vs Goldberg, following teases during the Bad Blood premium live event.

GUNTHER made an appearance during the October 5 premium live event, following Triple H’s Crown Jewel Championship announcement.
During this appearance, GUNTHER fired verbal shots at Goldberg, resulting in the Hall of Famer jumping the barricade.
While the duo didn’t ever trade blows, with GUNTHER instead taken out by Sami Zayn, there has been a lot of speculation about the seemingly teased GUNTHER vs Goldberg match.
Per Dave Meltzer in a Wrestling Observer Daily Update, WWE doesn’t currently have plans for this match to take place at WrestleMania 41, or November’s Survivor Series event.

Meltzer wrote:
It certainly appeared that Gunther vs. Bill Goldberg is coming soon based on the angle last night. I don’t know when other than we were told at this point it is not planned for either WrestleMania or Survivor Series.
I presume it’s Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther at Crown Jewel but if Gunther was to lose to Sami Zayn tomorrow that would change.

GUNTHER will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Sami Zayn on Monday’s edition of Raw.
Whoever wins this match will likely be World Heavyweight Champion for Crown Jewel on November 2, where the World Heavyweight Champion will face off against the Undisputed World Champion for the Crown Jewel Championship.
