On tonight’s WWE Raw, there was an update from last week’s episode which saw a backstage attack seemingly write a star off TV.

After there was a backstage attack by the now newly named Pure Fusion Collective on Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai last week, now an update on her condition.
During tonight’s match with Damage CTRL members IYO SKY and Kairi Sane taking on the Pure Fusion Collective duo of Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark, Kai’s status was disclosed.
According to Michael Cole on commentary, Dakota Kai suffered a torn meniscus and needs surgery which will see her out of action for 8 – 10 weeks.
We’ll keep you posted with any further updates.

Elsewhere on tonight’s show, there was a heated exchange between GUNTHER and Randy Orton which then summoned Drew McIntyre to interrupt.
However the Drew distraction was enough for Orton to hit an RKO on GUNTHER, of course – from out of nowhere.
The segment didn’t there as CM Punk ran out to attack McIntyre after previously claiming he was not in attendance due to ‘travel issues’.

Later in a backstage segment, Punk revealed that he had told “a little white lie” in order to ensure that McIntyre showed up to Raw (by saying he wasn’t there).
In another injury update, Michael Cole reiterated that Seth Rollins will be out for “a while” after being attacked by Bronson Reed last week.
