After slowly building over weeks to months, there has been a big update on the growing fracture between a WWE tag team.
While tensions have seemingly been building, on tonight’s WWE Raw things broke down more than ever between The New Day of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.
The pair had a title match against the Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and JD McDonagh, which they ultimately would lose.
After the match, Xavier Woods shoved Kofi Kingston aside, not wanting his consolation after the loss.
The show went to commercial break as Woods told Kingston that “something has to change”.
After the commercial break Kofi Kingston was approached by Cathy Kelley to give comment regarding the issues with Xavier Woods.
Woods was then shown yelling at the LWO for having interfered in the match when Kofi Kingston told him to stand down.
Kofi revealed he had talked to the LWO and gotten them on board to help in the event the Judgment Day used their numbers to their advantage.
However, Woods was not impressed by this answer as it raised even more questions regarding the state of their team.
Woods wanted to know why they never needed help before when Kingston blurted out that they used to have Big E.
Woods would go on to turn his shouting frustration against Kingston, wondering why the LWO knew a plan for their tag team title match but he was ‘kept in the dark’, going on to say that it has been this way for weeks.
Woods would then angrily walk out of frame while Kingston remained, looking stunned.
New Day haven’t officially broken up just yet, but this is by far the biggest series of disagreements they’ve ever had.
