A WWE star hit home and used the real name of LA Knight during tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
Tonight’s SmackDown hosted a contract signing for WWE SummerSlam to make a title match between LA Knight and United States Champion Logan Paul official.
During the segment, things of course got heated with both men throwing insults at each other, but Paul raised things to quite literally a personal level.
After Knight had spoken for a while about why he deserved this title shot, Paul cut him off and said:
“Oh my god, listen to yourself SHAUN.”
For those who didn’t catch the reference, LA Knight’s real name is Shaun Ricker.
Paul also referred to Knight as a “gym bro with a spray tan pretending to be The Rock”.
He did, however, sign the contract which means the match is official for WWE SummerSlam on August 3.
The show takes place in Logan Paul’s hometown of Cleveland, Ohio at Cleveland Browns Stadium.
WWE has evidently been planning for a Knight vs Paul match for quite some time, with the first time it was teased being over a year ago in the lead-up to the 2023 Money in the Bank event.
