A new championship match has officially been confirmed for two members of the Bloodline during tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown.

Tonight’s July 26 SmackDown – which was actually taped a week ago – featured a tag team gauntlet match  to determine the #1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship.
The ‘winner stays on’ format featured six teams, with the order of matches and eliminations taking place as follows.
In the first match of the gauntlet, Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin scored the win over Legado Del Fantasma’s Angel & Berto.
Next out were the Street Profits, who defeated Crews and Corbin, and then beat Pretty Deadly as well.

There was a third consecutive fall for the Street Profits as they beat Karl & Anderson and Luke Gallows, but next out were Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu of The Bloodline.
Earlier in the show, it was established that Tonga Loa was pulled out of the match due to an eye injury, and was replaced by Fatu.
In the final round of the gauntlet, Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu did score the win over the Street Profits, making the Bloodline duo the new #1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship.

The current champions are Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa (DIY), who won the title from Austin Theory and Grayson Waller a few weeks ago.
The Bloodline vs DIY match will take place on next week’s pre-SummerSlam edition of SmackDown, along with a Women’s Tag Team Championship match where Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill will challenge Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre.
Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu aren’t the only Bloodline members looking for championship gold coming up, as Solo Sikoa challenges Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam.
