On tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite featured the unveiling of a new title belt design and even a different name for an existing title.

After beating Will Ospreay on last week’s AEW Dynamite to become the newest International Champion, MJF took to the ring to make an announcement to kick off the show.
MJF debuted a brand new iteration of the International Championship, which he called the AEW American Championship.
Ahead of the reveal, MJF tossed the International Championship into a garbage can awaiting at ringside.
Showing off a new title belt design featuring red, white and blue details the patriotic scenes didn’t stop just there.

MJF would go on to have patriotic streamers ahead of a giant American flag dropping from the rafters with the stars replaced by MJF’s face.
However the American celebration would be broken up by a rogue Will Ospreay who got into the ring and immediately sent MJF running.
Ospreay would go on to reveal that he has already secured his rematch for the International Championship in London at AEW All In at Wembley Stadium.

When he left the ring and saw the previous International Championship in a bin, Ospreay took it out and still walked away with his former gold.
Elsewhere set for tonight’s special Blood & Guts edition of AEW Dynamite, the titular match set to feature Team AEW vs. Team Elite.
