There have been a three new champions crowned at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on pay-per-view tonight June 30 in New York.

As Long Island’s UBS arena hosted Forbidden Door 2024, there was a big ladder match to determine who would assume the vacant TNT Championship.
The match featured Konosuke Takeshita, Mark Briscoe, El Phantasmo, Dante Martin, Lio Rush and Jack Perry.
In the end, it all came down to Mark Briscoe and Jack Perry in the ring.
With Perry delivering a violent assault on the beloved Briscoe, he would at one point step on him in order to get on the ladder.

Perry would go on to climb up and grab the TNT Championship with Excalibur on commentary noting that while The Elite attempted to simply give the title to Perry a few weeks ago, now he had earned it.
The TNT Championship was vacated by Adam Copeland after Double Or Nothing due to him suffering a broken leg during his defense in a cage match against Malakai Black.
Next up, Mercedes Mone faced Stephanie Vaquer in a title for title match which saw Mone’s TBS Championship and Vaquer’s NJPW Strong Women’s Championship both on the line.

In the end, Mone would win the match and therefore capture both titles at her first AEW Forbidden Door.
She she was celebrating in the ring she was interrupted by a returning Britt Baker, which you can read more about by clicking here.
In yet another title change, in the match that followed Mone vs Vaquer, Jon Moxley put his IWGP World Heavyweight Championship on the line against Testuya Naito.
It was actually Naito who picked up the win, making him a two-time champion with this iteration of NJPW’s top title.
