AEW president Tony Khan has commented on a recent release from the company, noting that they will return at a later day.

AEW held a batch of talent releases on Monday, where multiple talents were released from their contracts with the company.
One of the most surprising names released was the Workhorsemen’s Anthony Henry, who was one half of the tag team alongside JD Drake.

Henry’s release came as a surprise due to him suffering a broken jaw injury on an independent show which was booked through AEW against another fellow AEW star, Bryan Keith.
When asked about the releases on the Supercard of Honor media call, Tony Khan noted that he has since come to an agreement with Henry, and Henry will be back in AEW and ROH after he has healed up from his injury.

Khan noted that the releases came due to him ‘keeping an eye on the budget’ and planning to have a ‘war chest’ to keep going after top talent in the future.
Khan also commented on the release of The Boys, noting that they were released due to no showing numerous events.
