WWE star Randy Orton has commented on his first World Heavyweight Championship win, admitting that he was not ready for his first reign.

Orton became the youngest world champion in WWE history at SummerSlam 2024, with Orton defeating Chris Benoit to win his first World Heavyweight Championship.
A video preview has been shared for the A&E Biography Legend documentary, featuring Orton discussing this title win.
Orton recalled calling his father and grandfather following the title win to celebrate, noting that it was the culmination of all of his hard work.
The Viper then discussed the responsibility that came with being a WWE World Champion, before noting that he definitely wasn’t mature enough to hold that belt at that time.

Orton said:
“It’s hard to describe the feeling of the responsibility, the amount of awesomeness that comes with holding that belt. I had the title but I didn’t have the maturity.
“I definitely was not ready. I’m really just sitting on top of the world. I’m making a lot of money for someone my age and I’m living the dream. And I am a cocky son of a b**ch.”

Randy Orton was most recently in action in Saturday’s (February 24) Elimination Chamber match, making it to the final two before getting eliminated by Drew McIntyre following interference from Logan Paul.
