WWE CCO Paul Levesque (Triple H) has provided something of an update on the current status of Becky Lynch.
Lynch has been absent from WWE since the end of May, with her contract reportedly expiring and her becoming a free agent on June 1.
Despite her apparent contractual status, WWE has not removed Lynch from any of the banners on its website, and she’s still listed on the active roster page.
The widely held belief is that, while her contract did legitimately expire, she’s taking time away for an ‘extended break’ but will end up back in WWE.
On the Pat McAfee show today, Triple H confirmed Lynch is currently on a “hiatus”.
He said:
“When you look at where we’re at right now, and how much excitement there is, and you still start thinking about – we don’t have Roman, we don’t have Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch is out on a hiatus right now.
“The amount of people that you have still to come, the amount of storyline that you still have to roll out…”
