A WWE name has called out the company’s merchandise department for the ‘bulls**t’ release of some classic CM Punk shirts.

CM Punk’s WWE return may have only given us one match thus far, however, the company have certainly made the most of have having the Best in the World back on their roster in other ways – one of which is through merchandise sales.
As well as Punk’s new shirt designs, WWE have also capitalised on the nostalgia of fans by releasing classic retro CM Punk shirts, featuring some of the iconic designs he wore through his original run with the company.
In the latest batch of classic Punk shirt releases on WWE Shop we have several designs from the early 2010s, including a shirt from Punk’s somewhat forgotten time as the leader of The Nexus in 2011.
The decision to re-release this shirt in particular did not go down well with SmackDown commentator Wade Barrett – the original leader of The Nexus, who was booted from the group when Punk took charge in early 2011.

Taking to Twitter, Barrett wrote:

Barrett is someone who has not shied away from making his feelings about Punk known, venting on Punk costing Drew McIntyre the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Clash at the Castle in Glasgow, Scotland.
At the Money in the Bank post-show Barrett noted how he was reprimanded for his comments, leading him to bite his tongue when Punk would cost McIntyre his Money in the Bank cash-in at that same show in Toronto.
