A WWE star has reacted to their big victory in the King of the Ring tournament first round, dedicating the win to an injured roster member.

At the WWE Live Event from Macon, GA on Sunday, May 12 a first-ever singles match took place as former WWE Champion’s Kofi Kingston and Rey Mysterio battled it out to advance to the quarter finals of the King of the Ring.
Competing in place of his injured New Day brethren and reigning King of the Ring Xavier Woods, Kingston would score the win over Mysterio – pinning the Hall of Famer following the Trouble in Paradise.
After the bout, Kingston took to Twitter to post his first comments – of which he made clear who he was fighting for in this tournament.

Kingston wrote:

Kingston will now have the unenviable task of facing off with former Intercontinental Champion and tournament front-runner GUNTHER in the quarter finals on tomorrow night’s WWE Raw.
Elsewhere at the WWE Live Event from Macon, GA another WWE star advanced in the final first round bout in the Queen of the Ring tournament – for full details follow this link here.
