WWE star LA Knight has responded to criticism about WWE holding King and Queen of the Ring tournament matches at house shows.

With the King and Queen of the Ring premium live event set to emanate from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in a week from Saturday (May 25), the two tournaments have officially begun.
While some first round matches took place on last week’s episodes of Raw and SmackDown, several tournament bouts were also contested at non-televised house shows on Saturday and Sunday.
One of the matches saw LA Knight defeat Santos Escobar at the Chattanooga, Tennessee live event to advance to the second round of the King of the Ring tournament.
Knight has now taken to Twitter to respond to a user who asked why Knight and Tiffany Stratton’s victories were “delegated” to house shows.

Discussing the importance of WWE house shows, Knight said:

Knight is now set to face Tama Tonga in the tournament quarterfinals.
